Statewide Tax Lien Registry

Statewide Tax Lien Registry Effective January 1, 2018, all state tax liens and releases will be filed into a statewide tax lien registry program created by the Illinois Department of Revenue. These documents will no longer be recorded with the County Recorders offices throughout the State. All recorded liens and releases prior to January 1, 2018 are available through the Will County Recorder's Office.

You can access the registry by visiting the Illinois Department of Revenue’s website and clicking on the option to the left that says, “Lien Registry.” http://www.revenue.state.il.us
